Book Beginnings & The Friday 56: I've Got My Eyes on You

Book Beginnings is where bloggers share the first sentence (or so) of the book they're reading, along with any initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.

 The Beginning:
Jamie was in his room on the second floor of his mother's small Cape Cod house in Saddle River, New Jersey, when his life changed.

The Friday 56 is where bloggers grab a book, any book, turn to page 56 (or 56% for ebooks) and share a sentence or two that captures their interest. Avoiding spoilers.

    56:
Of course, I wasn't there over the weekend when that poor girl was killed.

    My book this week is:

I've Got My Eyes on You by Mary Higgins Clark

Based off of these two sentences, would you continue the book?

    2. That book beginning is a bit of a mouthful... but she's a great author, so I'll let her get away with it! lol

Have a lovely weekend, here's my BB / F56! xxx

    4. Those two sentences do make me want to read the book. I haven't read anything by the author before. This week I have a thriller - What You Want to See by Kristen Lepionka. Happy reading!

    5. As much as I love mysteries, I still haven't read a Mary Higgins Clark book. It may be time to change that. I'd love for you and your readers to check out THE UNINVITED CORPSE . . . https://www.facebook.com/elleryadamswritesmysteries/
